Lemon Boy LP

Lemon Boy is the one that moved Cavetown, real name Robin Skinner, from YouTube bedroom-pop kid to artist with an actual audience, and he handled the overwhelming majority of it himself: writing, recording, and producing, no label anywhere near it. The songwriting stays plain-spoken and confessional, anxiety, growing up, making sense of an ordinary day, on tracks like the title song, 'Fool,' and 'I'll Make Cereal.' The pointed irony: a record built almost entirely alone keeps getting repressed on vinyl in a new colorway every few years.
