Self-Titled 2CD

Horse Jumper of Love's self-titled debut spreads into a two-disc anniversary edition, guitar tones dragging like tape pulled through a slow machine. The Boston trio, Dimitri Giannopoulos, John Margaris, and Jamie Vadala-Doran, cut it with a slacker-rock drawl that fit right into the early-2010s scene around Run For Cover and Disposable America. Reviews were mixed at the time, but the song “Ugly Brunette” reached further through Stereogum and NPR Music's Songs We Missed, helping lock in the band's reputation in the slowcore and shoegaze-adjacent underground.
