Aurora’s FRANTIX transfixed the early 1980s Colorado punk scene with their unique sound and chaotic live show, releasing just two EPs before evolving into The Fluid, Sub Pop’s first non-Seattle band who helped lead the grunge invasion of the mainstream.
Their 1982 debut album, I Don't Want To Die In Your War, was recorded and mixed by legendary producer and sound engineer for Black Flag and Descendents, SPOT. It is a major example of California Hardcore from the early 80's.
Big Black led the alternative music revolution of "Industrial" from Chicago in the 1980s. The band's 1987 "Songs About F*cking" hits hard with gritty rock 'n' roll.
