Cut June 22, 1956 at Rudy Van Gelder's Hackensack studio, with Tommy Flanagan on piano, Doug Watkins on bass, and Max Roach on drums, Prestige put this out the following year and it's held up as one of Rollins' strongest sessions since. The Library of Congress inducted the whole album into its National Recording Registry in 2016, calypso lift of opener "St. Thomas" and all. This WaxTime pressing brings it back on clear blue vinyl.
