Jazz Vinyl Records
Jazz might be the single most rewarding genre to collect on vinyl, and we say that knowing how big a claim it is. The bebop revolution (Charlie Parker, Dizzy), the modal masterpieces (Miles' Kind of Blue, Coltrane's A Love Supreme), the spiritual-jazz fire of Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders, and the free-jazz frontier — all of it sounds extraordinary on a good pressing. The label worship runs deep here too: Blue Note, Impulse!, Prestige. This is a section you can disappear into for years.
What You'll Find Here

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should a beginner start with jazz vinyl?
Kind of Blue and A Love Supreme are the consensus gateways, and for good reason. From there, follow a label (Blue Note is a rabbit hole) or a sideman from album to album. That's how the collecting bug takes hold.
Are original Blue Note pressings worth the money?
To the right collector, absolutely — original Blue Notes are legendary. But modern audiophile reissues sound superb and cost a fraction. Depends whether you're chasing the music or the artifact. We stock both.
What's spiritual jazz?
The cosmic, searching strain that came out of the mid-'60s — Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, late John Coltrane. Deeply collectible and deeply moving.
