Pylon LP

The guitars on Pylon grind like a belt sander finally finding the right angle. Beabadoobee, signed to Dirty Hit since 2018, has moved steadily from her early bedroom-pop EPs through Fake It Flowers, Beatopia and This Is How Tomorrow Moves, her first album to top the UK charts, toward the 90s-indebted alternative rock that now defines her fourth full-length. Hayley Williams and Turnstile's Brendan Yates both turn up here, and lead single Sun Has Set pushes further into heavier, grunge-inflected songwriting.
