Vince Staples turns the camera outward on Cry Baby, trading the inward Long Beach reflection of Ramona Park Broke My Heart and Dark Times for wider cycles of unrest, built up on more live instrumentation than usual. He's running the business himself too, releasing through his own Section Eight Arthouse alongside Loma Vista and Concord, selling tickets and livestreaming the rollout personally.
