Quantum Baby is chapter two of the trilogy Tinashe kicked off with BB/Ang3l, her seventh album and proof she doesn't need a major label to keep the assembly line running, this one self-released through her own Tinashe Music Inc. alongside Nice Life Recording Company. She built it around duality, confidence rubbing up against vulnerability, with "Nasty," "Getting No Sleep," and "No Broke Boys" carrying the genre-blurring pop and R&B. It hit number 23 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart and went gold in New Zealand.
