Best Collection 2LP

Formed in San Francisco in 1974, the Nerves barely made a dent as a band, but guitarist Jack Lee's "Hanging on the Telephone" found its hit somewhere else entirely, as a Blondie cover on the top five UK album "Parallel Lines." Peter Case took the power pop lessons to the Plimsouls afterward, Paul Collins took his to the Beat, and this red and maroon vinyl set through Third Man Records gathers EP tracks, demos, and live recordings, including material by Case and Collins' follow-up band, the Breakaways.
