Throne of Thorns LP

Stryper have been swinging glam-metal riffs at gospel lyrics since 1983, black-and-yellow stripes and all, and Throne of Thorns is their 18th album, the latest in a steady run for Frontiers Records that's dropped a new one roughly every two years since 2020. Michael Sweet still fronts it on vocals and guitar, same as he did back when To Hell with the Devil went platinum in 1986 and Soldiers Under Command and In God We Trust went gold in 1985 and 1988. Four decades in, and the band still hits like it means it.
