Self-Titled LP

Sky Saxon sang, played bass, and had his hands in production on The Seeds' self-titled debut, out on GNP Crescendo back in April of 1966. The whole thing turns on 'Pushin' Too Hard,' pulled out as a single that year and climbing into the top 40 by early 1967. AllMusic ranks it among the best of the original garage rock crop, calling it punk's blueprint a full decade before anyone had the word for it.
