El Inicio LP

Ruben Blades helped turn salsa into socially conscious songwriting in the 1970s, mostly through his Fania Records partnership with Willie Colon on records like Siembra. El Inicio skips past that famous run and collects his earlier singles, cut with groups like Los Salvajes del Ritmo and Nacho Molino y Su Conjunto before any of that fame arrived. Tamayo Records presses this early material on 160-gram color vinyl for Record Store Day Black Friday, a heavier pressing that suits a record built from scattered singles.
