Four states, one microphone getting passed hand to hand: that's how Remi Wolf and her band built Mud, tracking in Nashville, Big Bear, New York and Joshua Tree with longtime producer Jared Solomon plus Jack DeMeo, Jamie McLaughlin and Gigi Grombacher. Eleven songs land October 9 on Island, 'Bottle' and 'Twiggy' pulling point. Third album in, after stages at Coachella and Bonnaroo and tours behind Paramore and Lorde, she's finally recording like the band she tours with.
