About Remi Wolf
Remi Wolf was born in Palo Alto, California on June 30, 1996. She attended USC Thornton School of Music's popular music program (with classmates including Domi & JD Beck and others). She launched her recording career in the late 2010s and signed with Island Records. Her 2020 EPs You're a Dog! and I'm Allergic to Dogs! brought her new audiences. Her 2021 debut LP Juno received critical attention. Her 2024 follow-up Big Ideas continued her trajectory.
Sound and style
Remi Wolf's sound combines indie pop, funk pop, alternative R&B, dance-pop, soul, electronic pop, and bedroom pop with her distinctive vocal delivery (use of expressive, theatrical phrasing), integration of funk and soul horn arrangements with contemporary indie pop production, and arrangements drawing on classic 1970s funk and soul alongside contemporary indie pop influences.
