Quadeca's fifth mixtape, Scrapyard, is the sound of a YouTube kid who kept mutating: after Voice Memos, From Me to You and I Didn't Mean to Haunt You, he's landed somewhere between indie folk, hyperpop, art pop and hip-hop, writing about Gen Z anxiety and heartbreak with brakence and Kevin Abstract dropping in as guests. Released on his own Deadair label, it pulled universal critical acclaim and turned up on numerous best-of-2024 lists. This pressing splits the vinyl half white, half black.
