Dancing on the Wall LP

Dancing on the Wall is Muna's fourth album, on Saddest Factory/Dead Oceans and produced largely by band member Naomi McPherson. It follows their self-titled 2022 record, the group's best-selling album and first to chart on the Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart. Katie Gavin's 2024 solo album What a Relief pushed the band toward a more upbeat, danceable sound here, and Josette Maskin has called the track Big Stick the most overtly political thing Muna has released. That's a record leaning into its moment, not coasting on the last one.
