Waka Juju LP

Manu Dibango made his name with 1972's "Soul Makossa," one of the most sampled tracks in pop and hip-hop, and by 1982's Waka Juju he was folding afrobeat, highlife, and jazz-funk together with synth work from Wally Badarou sharpening the edges of his horn-driven sound. The six tracks here push past the groove that made him famous without losing it. This copy presses on colored vinyl.
