Lightspheres on Their Way LP

Burlington, Vermont keeps turning out songwriters worth tracking, and Lily Seabird, who shares that scene with Greg Freeman and Robber Robber, follows her album Trash Mountain with this one on Lame-O Records. The alt-country and troubadour-folk base she's worked from gets roughed up here with fuzzier, grunge-leaning guitar, a real shift from her earlier records. Single "Election Day" was written on election day, but Seabird says it's not about voting, more about the misery of choosing between options that all feel wrong.
