Sketches of Brunswick East LP

A 2017 collaboration between King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Alexander Brettin's Mild High Club, built from iPhone voice-memo sketches the two traded after Brettin crashed at Stu Mackenzie's house for weeks following a Gizzfest set. They finished it in three weeks at the band's Flightless HQ studio in Melbourne. Genre lands closer to jazz fusion and soft rock than anything else in the King Gizzard catalog, which is probably why it picked up a Best Jazz Album nomination at the ARIA Awards and still climbed to #4 on the Australian albums chart.
