It's easy for most people to pass off King Gizzard as "new age hippie bullsh*t" but King Gizzard has been making innovative and wholly unique music for a while now. Murder of the Universe is one of the guys strongest albums, detailing an entire bit of lore about creatures, lightning deities, and vomiting cyborgs in what feels like 3 very long songs that evolve overtime. This album will make you realize why these guys have been described as "guitar wizards." The album shifts between 4/4, 7/4, and 5/4 time signatures, blending elements of sludge metal and garage rock, creating an at times overstimulating and mind numbing experience - but a welcome one at that. - Blu
