Thieves is Houston guitarist Kelly Doyle stepping out from behind other people's names, out August 14, 2026 on Strolling Bones Records. He's spent years as a sideman for Phosphorescent, Craig Finn, and Khruangbin, and here he leads instead, backed by Will Story on bass, Jeremy Bruch on drums, and Nelson Deveraux on saxophone, Steve Christensen producing. Nine tracks pull from jazz, exotica, and ambient music without committing hard to any single one of them.
