Debbie Downers, Jonny Fritz's fifth album, is released by Gar Hole Records, a self-funded return from Fritz, who stepped away from touring and built a parallel career in real estate. He retired the Jonny Corndawg name in 2012 for dry, plainspoken alt-country: Dad Country hit number 72 on the US Country chart in 2013 for ATO Records, and 2016's Sweet Creep, produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket, made Rolling Stone's year-end country list.
