Country is bigger and stranger than its reputation. Hank Williams and Patsy Cline at the classic root; the outlaws (Willie, Waylon, Cash) who blew the Nashville machine off course; and the alt-country and Americana crowd (Uncle Tupelo, Gillian Welch, Sturgill Simpson) who kept the form honest. Being a Denver store, we've also got a real soft spot for the new wave of weird country coming out of our own scene — we write about it on the blog and we stock it in the bins.
