A Cheapened Crown LP

A Cheapened Crown is the debut full-length from Hiss, a Portland noise-sludge trio of Robert Comitz, Kirk Evans, and Chase Hall, cut at LoRent Studio and mastered by Carl Saff for Dipterid Records and Hex Records. Comitz and Evans had already played together in Still/Form, and Comitz and Hall in Marriage + Cancer, before converging here. Critics have struggled to file it under metal, post-hardcore, or noise rock, and that's the right problem to have: it's too sludgy and scraping to sit still anywhere.
