Dapperton, Gus - 4 Dear Life LP

Gus Dapperton's fourth album, 4 Dear Life, follows 2019's Where Polly People Go to Read, 2020's Orca, and his 2023 Warner Records debut Henge. Raised in Warwick, New York before settling in the city, he built this one around a guest list that includes A-Trak, Ledbyher, Spill Tab, and Hard Life, and used the lead single "Queen" to finally say out loud what he'd been sitting on for years about patriarchal systems. The production stays bright and hooky, but the words land like a blade he finally decided to use.
