GHOSTWOMAN's "Welcome to the Civilized World LP" serves up a disconcerting blend of alt-rock that feels both strikingly contemporary and deeply nostalgic. Each track seems to wrestle with the absurdity of modern existence, highlighting contradictions that surface between grand ambitions and mundane realities. The gleaming orange vinyl might distract at first, but it's the haunting melodies and wry lyrics that linger long after the needle lifts; an invitation to question what civilization really offers, or if it's all an elaborate ruse.
