Four years of stitched-together sessions, old and new material alike, went into Infrared, pushed into the same Wax Trax-era EBM lineage that runs through Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, Project Pitchfork, and Bauhaus. Fernando Altonaga opens the record swinging at politics and closes it gutted, a deeply personal track written after a bandmate's mother died of brain cancer. The whole thing operates out of Denver's Bleeding Light Music Collective, the same orbit as the project Plague Garden, and it hits harder for carrying real weight instead of just noise.
