Colorado Local

The Denver and Colorado scene we live in, write about, and stock with pride. Colorado local vinyl at Wax Trax.

Colorado Local Vinyl Records

This is the section we're proudest of, full stop. Wax Trax has been part of the Denver scene for decades — three shops, a wall of memories, and a front-row seat to one of the most cross-pollinating, genuinely weird local music communities anywhere. Denver bands trade members and ideas like baseball cards, and the results land right here in the bins. We cover this scene on our blog and we stock it on the shelves, because supporting the home team isn't a marketing line for us. It's the whole point.

What You'll Find Here

LPs, 7-inches, and releases from Denver and Colorado artists and labels across every genre — punk, country-gone-strange, jazz, experimental, the lot. New local pressings as they come out, often before anyone else has them. If you saw a band at a Denver DIY space last weekend, there's a decent chance their record is in here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a record store have a local section this big?
Because we're a Denver institution and the scene is genuinely that good. We've watched it grow for decades and we put our shelf space where our heart is.

Can local artists get their records stocked here?
We're always listening to what the local scene is putting out. Reach out to the shop — supporting Colorado musicians is core to what we do.

Do you write about local music too?
Constantly — our blog covers Denver shows, releases, and the artists worth knowing. The bins and the blog go hand in hand.
