Primary Colours LP

Melbourne garage-punk quartet who started this just to amuse themselves, then knocked out their second album, Primary Colours, in a single 24-hour session at Sing Sing Studios on an 8-track rig for about $1,500. Put it out themselves on Aarght! Records before Goner picked it up stateside. Won the Australian Music Prize, landed an ARIA nomination, and got an A- out of Robert Christgau, results that outran the budget by a mile. Cheap to make, worth every dollar to own.
