Earth, Wind & Fire waited until 2014 to make a Christmas album, after fans had been asking for years, and used it to raid their own catalog: "Happy Seasons" reworks 1975's "Happy Feelin'," and "December" repurposes "September." The 13-track set reached No. 8 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart, and Exclaim! gave it 8 out of 10, noting it dodges the usual cash-in trap most holiday records fall into. Recycling your own hits for a holiday album usually reads as laziness; here it reads as knowing exactly what you're good at.
