Enthrone Darkness Triumphant LP

In 1997, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant became Dimmu Borgir's first album for Nuclear Blast and the first cut at Peter Tägtgren's The Abyss studio in Sweden, with Tägtgren engineering and mixing. It doubled as a lineup reset, with Shagrath stepping up as lead vocalist, bassist Nagash joining, and guitarist Silenoz, keyboardist Stian Aarstad, and drummer Tjodalv rounding out the Norwegian symphonic black metal band, plus a guest female vocal from Bente Engen. Critics still treat it as the band's commercial breakthrough and one of the genre's defining records, backed by chart runs in Germany and Finland.
