Chroma Zone LP

That steady motorcycle-engine chug German bands made famous, motorik rhythm, is what Chroma Lips runs on, except here it's dragged through Denver's garage-rock underground and dressed up dark and a little dangerous. People keep comparing them to The Kills and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, which tracks, but Chroma Zone owes just as much to the early-2000s garage revival as to any other throwback era. It's a DIY, club-circuit record, and a single like 'Wantin' Something' makes the whole thing's obsession with desire and temptation plain.
