This pressing of Only Theatre of Pain spreads across two LPs, the 1982 original from Frontier Records plus a full disc of early-'80s demos and alternate mixes. Rozz Williams, who sang and designed the sleeve, led a lineup of guitarist Rikk Agnew, bassist James McGearty, and drummer George Belanger, with Thom Wilson helping produce a record critics have called everything from Melody Maker's most out-gothic album to the A.V. Club's depraved masterpiece. The extra disc is the real reason to reach for this edition.
