(self-titled) LP

Caspian's members are scattered now, Massachusetts to Maine to New York to Colorado, so this self-titled record, their first since On Circles, basically had to get built in short bursts whenever everybody could land in the same room with producer Brett Romnes. Six songs, about 39 minutes, and it plays like a slow pot coming to boil: "Remain" takes one melody and just keeps turning the heat up for nine minutes straight. Then "Waltz for the End" cools the whole thing back down, which, honestly, is the right way to end anything.
