Mermaid Avenue Vol. III 2LP

Mermaid Avenue Vol. III pulls its material from the same 1990s sessions that produced the first two Mermaid Avenue records, songs that sat unreleased until Nonesuch finally unveiled the set around the 100th anniversary of Woody Guthrie's birth. The label paired the release with Man in the Sand, a documentary covering those original sessions, and folded both into the box set Mermaid Avenue: The Complete Sessions. Hearing it now means hearing tape that waited decades to reach a turntable.
