Peyote LP

Ambré, born India Ambré Perkins in New Orleans, came up singing in church before a 2015 cover of a Drake song alongside Kehlani put her on people's radar. Roc Nation signed her in 2019, the same label behind her EPs Pulp and 3000°, and she already has writing credits on H.E.R.'s Grammy-winning self-titled album. Her catalog so far leans on short releases, so this full-length marks a shift in scale for an artist whose phrasing owes as much to soul singers as to hip-hop.
