About Osees
Osees (stylized OSEES) is the current incarnation of the prolific recording project of American musician John Dwyer (Dwyer), based in San Francisco / Los Angeles. The project has changed names multiple times across its multi-decade history - OCS (1997-2005), The Ohsees (2006-2008), Thee Oh Sees (2008-2013), Oh Sees (2017-2018), and Osees (2018-2020 with the more compact spelling, then 2020+ as Osees). The Osees-era catalog represents some of the project's most prolific output, with releases in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2025.
Sound and style
Osees' sound combines garage rock, psychedelic rock, krautrock, garage punk, neo-psychedelia, art punk, and noise rock with Dwyer's distinctive vocal delivery, virtuosic frenetic instrumental arrangements, and prolific recording approach.
