Record Store Day 2026 is Saturday, April 18!

Record Store Day 2026 is Saturday April 18, and Wax Trax now has THREE (3) participating locations: Our original location in Capitol Hill, our store on South Broadway, and our newest location on 32nd Avenue on the Northside! 

All three stores will open at 8am!

 

Wax Trax Records (638 E 13th Ave) - Doors at 8am

Several of our most experienced staff conspire to bring you everything that's worth getting, including a great deal of the more obscure but great stuff. Then we add in all of your comments in our email survey and our Instagram and Facebook posts asking for input. The result is over 300 Record Store Day titles, many of them in HUGE quantities! We’ll also have our underground-famous RSD used drop. 

We’re still working out the details, but this year’s event promises to be epic. We’ll have coffee and treats for folks waiting in line, entertainment, giveaways of stuff you really want, as well as something exciting and new. 

 

Wax Trax Broadway Bazaar (200 S Broadway) - Doors at 8am

Every store is a little different, and at Broadway we listened to your input and we'll have a slightly more curated Record Store Day selection, with all the best stuff in healthy quantities! Over 220 titles! We’ll also have a sizeable used drop and some sweet vintage clothing deals.. 

We’re still working out all the extras, but this year’s Broadway event may open doors to some new music that has been right under your nose. We’ll have coffee and treats for folks waiting in line, entertainment, giveaways of stuff you really want, as well as something exciting and new. 

 

Wax Trax Northside (3641 W. 32nd Ave) - Doors at 8am

We're excited to offer Record Store Day at Wax Trax Northside for the very first time. Northside will be heavy on quantities of the best titles and have a curated but wide selection at just over 240 titles!

We’re still working out all the extras, but our new Northside event promises to surprise you. We’ll have coffee and treats for folks waiting in line, entertainment, giveaways of stuff you really want, as well as something exciting and new. 

 

DA RULES, etc.:

  • It’s first come, first served - please be good to each other in the line!
  • No store in the country is ever 100% sure about receiving stuff, but most likely we'll have it and if it's popular we'll have a ton of it. (Yes, we went big on the the Olivia Dean, the Masayoshi Takanaka, the Ween, the Labi Siffre, the Charli XCX, the Paramore, the Ethel Cain, the Billy Strings, the Pink Floyd and much more!) 
  • All normal Record Store Day rules still apply, no holds, only 1 of the same title.
  • Record Store Day items that don't sell in the shop are and/or will start appearing online here on Sunday.

  • The store is all very very well stocked and we always make a big drop at the used store on the same day. 

You’re going to have a pretty damn good chance of finding what you’re after (and what you didn't know you were after) and hear some great music here at Wax Trax, as always.
