Question Mark and The Mysterians - "96 Tears" - In 1966, the raw-yet-infectious "96 Tears" swept the airwaves hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 beating out The Monkees, Four Tops, The Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, & The Beach Boys. ? & The Mysterians' debut album, 96 Tears, followed just as the single reached one million sales. The LP, with 10 more originals including a Top 40 hit "I Need Somebody," plus a version of T-Bone Walker's "Stormy Monday," peaked at #66. "96 Tears" voted one of Rolling Stone's Greatest Songs of All Time.
