God is Dead LP

Twin Temple call what they do Satanic doo-wop, and that's not just a joke band name, it's a direct line back to the Platters, Roy Orbison, and Buddy Holly. Alexandra James sings like Ronnie Spector crossed with Amy Winehouse, and she and husband Zachary James chased the vintage, worn-down sound of Phil Spector's old Gold Star Studios sessions on purpose. Originally out in 2023, the record wraps occult imagery around lyrics about feminism, LGBT rights, and standing on your own.
