Other people's hit versions of If I Were a Carpenter, Reason to Believe, and Misty Roses did more for Tim Hardin's reputation than his own recordings ever did. He played Newport and Woodstock in 1969, fought addiction most of his life, and died in 1980. Lost in L.A. gathers his recordings for Entree Records.
