The Nutley Brass make a career out of reworking unlikely material into orchestrated instrumentals, and Ramones Songbook As Played By The Nutley Brass does exactly what the title promises: eleven Ramones songs, "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "I Wanna Be Sedated" among them, rebuilt as swinging instrumental exotica, sitar included on "Rockaway Beach." It's part of Modern Harmonic's run of genre-crossing lounge reissues, and this copy is pressed on "Lobotomized Lavender" colored vinyl, a punk-adjacent joke wrapped around a thoroughly unpunk record.
