Jack Lee, Peter Case, and Paul Collins formed the Nerves in San Francisco in 1974 and eventually took the trio across the US, but Lee's song "Hanging on the Telephone" ended up living a second life as a hit once Blondie covered it on "Parallel Lines," a top five UK album. Case went on to front the Plimsouls, Collins fronted the Beat, proof the band was a launching pad even if it never got there itself. This set pulls together EP tracks, demos, and live recordings on two black records through Third Man Records.
