Days is John Darnielle's 24th Mountain Goats album, twelve songs cut with producer John Congleton at Sear Sound in Manhattan, out August 2026 on Cadmean Dawn. The guest list runs from bassist Rob Jost to Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, Matt Nathanson, and harpist Mikaela Davis. Darnielle has described the songs as loosely about the 70s, 80s, and 90s, built from memories that sharpen or blur the further back they go.
