Live Home Library Vol. 2 April Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn, NY 2LP

Three nights at Brooklyn Steel in April 2017 get folded into one record on Live Home Library Vol. 2, the second dig into The Decemberists' own archive, Youth and Beauty Brigade, mixed by longtime collaborator Tucker Martine. Stitching three separate nights into a single set is a strange trick, like building one true night out of three different crowds, but the music holds the seam. Volume one reached further back, to a 2009 performance of The Hazards of Love at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Michigan, Martine mixing that one too.
