Natalie Maines' 2003 remarks about President Bush cut country radio's signal to the band, and Taking the Long Way, the last album under the Dixie Chicks name, rode out of that static. Rick Rubin produced it; it topped the Billboard 200 and swept five 2007 Grammys, Album of the Year for the record, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for 'Not Ready to Make Nice.' This 20th anniversary edition adds bonus tracks and demos to the original fourteen songs, on 150g vinyl across three LPs.
