Its members came from Anchorage separately and landed in Portland, where they formed in 2005 as The Funeral Band before picking a better name. Two drummers, one percussion-heavy racket, and Willamette Week called them best new band in town. Ryan Sollee sings and plays guitar on this self-titled set, out on colored vinyl through Jealous Butcher Records. Nobody accused these guys of subtlety.
