Live at Paramount Theatre, Portland, OR '77 2LP

Every Tangerine Dream live record has the same built-in contradiction: it can't be a highlights reel, because the band never fixed on any highlights to begin with. Edgar Froese spent the back half of the seventies treating the stage like a laboratory, steering the group through sprawling, mostly improvised synthesizer pieces that changed shape every night. This one catches an American tour stop in four long pieces, pressed as a 2LP exclusive for Black Friday.
