En Skog av Nidstang LP

Taake is essentially Hoest working alone in the studio under a band name, a setup common enough in Bergen's black metal scene that it barely counts as a twist anymore. This four song EP for Dark Essence Records hits the expected marks, tremolo riffing, blast beats, raw and atmospheric production, the standard toolkit of Norwegian black metal's second wave rather than a departure from it.
