Barrett CD

Barrett is the one where Syd's former Pink Floyd bandmates quietly run the session: David Gilmour and Richard Wright co-produce, Wright holds down keyboards the whole way through, and Gilmour even picks up bass, guitar, and drums on one track, with Jerry Shirley filling in extra drums and percussion elsewhere. Recorded across fifteen sessions at Abbey Road and put out on Harvest in 1970, it didn't trouble the charts at the time, but Rolling Stone has since called Barrett's solo work "entrancing," and this second and final album of new material is the reason that reputation holds.
